The T-Mobile network has been named as the official mobile phone partner of the 2006 FIFA World Cup, and is offering exclusive access through mobile TV. Fans will have access to loads of downloads from FIFA and the England team, with the chance to win great prizes for your very own World Cup themed party!
Starting in June, subscribers to the T-Mobile network will be able to view 3-4 minute highlights of the latest World Cup matches within 1 hour of the final whistle! This service can be accessed from 3G phones at a trial price of £1 per day or £5 for unlimited access.
Also available from T-Mobile are in-game video & picture alerts and streaming video highlights.
Phil Chapman, T-Mobile UK's Director of Marketing comments: "T-Mobile is committed to bringing our football fan customers closer to the 'greatest show on earth'. We believe fans deserve the chance to get to the World Cup and we are making every effort to give them the best experience whilst in Germany. If they can’t make it to the matches themselves we are enabling supporters to get more out of the tournament through the Fan Park, World Cup Parties and great range of mobile World Cup content services."
"David Beckham lifting the World Cup on July 8th would be amazing, but even if he doesn't we are confident that we will have given T-Mobile customers the closest World Cup experience. We are fully committed to bringing the tournament closer to our customers with unique experiences and the very best in content for their mobile phones."
